Speech Therapy
At Workmen’s Circle MultiCare Center, our dedicated team includes certified Speech and Language Pathologists who conduct thorough assessments of speech and swallowing abilities for residents. Following these evaluations, personalized recommendations are provided to address specific needs, which may include speech and hearing services, dysphagia management, cognitive therapy, and the use of adaptive equipment to enhance communication skills. Our speech-language therapy program is designed to improve communication most effectively and comfortably for each resident, whether through verbal communication, alternative communication methods, or a combination of approaches.
In addition to addressing communication needs, our Speech and Language Pathologists also specialize in evaluating and treating swallowing difficulties. Swallowing therapy aims to assist residents in safely consuming food and liquids, to enable them to enjoy the highest consistency diet possible. Through targeted interventions and tailored treatment plans, our therapy team strives to optimize residents’ swallowing function, enhancing their overall quality of life and well-being.
