Dietary Services
At Workmen’s Circle MultiCare Center, we prioritize providing residents with a satisfying dining experience that not only meets their nutritional needs but also enhances their overall well-being. Our Family Style dining approach allows residents to enjoy meals in a warm, communal atmosphere, reminiscent of home-cooked gatherings. By serving meals directly from heated steam tables in the Resident dining rooms, we ensure that food is served at the right temperature, enhancing its appeal and aroma. This approach has proven effective in increasing resident acceptance and satisfaction, leading to improved nutritional intake, weight gain, and the cultivation of friendships among residents in the dining room.
Upon admission to Workmen’s Circle MultiCare Center, each resident undergoes a comprehensive nutritional assessment conducted by a Dietitian. This assessment includes gathering food preferences and dietary restrictions to tailor meals to individual needs. Our team of Dietary personnel ensures that residents receive nutritionally complete meals and therapeutic diets as prescribed by Physicians. Additionally, supplements, nourishments, and nutritional counseling are provided when necessary, with ongoing support available from a Dietitian both during and after discharge. We also engage residents in menu planning through a monthly committee, allowing them to offer feedback and suggestions, fostering a sense of involvement and empowerment in their dining experience.
