At Workmen’s Circle MultiCare Center, an emphasis is placed on the importance of social interaction and recreational activities for all residents. Our dynamic Activity Leaders provide recreational programs designed to meet the social, educational and spiritual needs of each resident ranging from those possessing the highest level of functioning to those at the lowest functional level.
Our staff takes each resident’s leisure history, routines, and preferences into account allowing activity development to maintain and even improve skills. Residents have the opportunity to participate in on-unit programs, special events, trips and individual pursuits. In conjunction with our nutrition and dietary staff, our recreation department schedules frequent social programs including holiday celebrations, barbecues and other special events. The residents’ families are welcome and encouraged to attend these special events.
